The recreational community of Ludmannsdorf is located on a sunny, wooded ridge between Lake Wörthersee and the Drau, near the Feistritzer reservoir, with a wonderful view of the lower Rosental and the rocks of the Karawanks. The wooded area offers numerous hiking trails and cycling and mountain bike tours. The Feistritzer reservoir, and thus the river Drau, is in the immediate vicinity of the town center. A tour through the Baerenthal to the Klagenfurter Hütte is nearby (20 minutes drive to the car park near the Karawanks), an absolute insider tip for a relaxed mountain hike.
