Liguria

Liguria is in the northwest of Italy and runs from the French border to Tuscany. The holiday homes of Liguria are situated between hills with vineyards, or with unspoilt surrounding countryside, in the proximity of picturesque towns with Medieval town centres and shadowed alleys this is the true Liguria.

Cottages in Liguria, the Italian Riviera

The coastal area, also called the Italian Riviera, can be divided into two parts. The Riviera di Ponente (the Flower Riviera) is to the west of Genoa and the Riviera Levante to the east. Youll find beautiful cliffs here, coves and beaches where you can enjoy yourself no end, something very special when the sun is setting. Your cottage in Liguria is located on the coast and therefore perfectly suitable for a gorgeous holiday !

Holiday homes inland

The surrounding countryside should also not be forgotten. This is a true paradise for gourmets and epicureans, in part due to the production of wine and olive oil. Holiday homes in the small towns of Liguria, where the locals will welcome you will give you the feeling that youve finally arrived home.

In the north of the region you will find Ventimiglia, the border town between France and Italy where both the French and the Italians come together on the weekly market. From your cottage close to Ventimiglia you can also make an excursion to France (for example a day shopping in Nice!)due to its location.

Next youll arrive at Bordighera and San Remo (the Flower City), both very chic resorts. Genoa is the largest marine harbour of Italy and is very important economically. In addition, this is the birthplace of Columbus.

From your cottage to Cinque Terre

In the south youll find the fashionable Portofino and the attraction Cinque Terre, where you will encounter the five lovely towns of Manarola, Vernazza, Monterosso, Riomaggiore and Corniglia. For quite some time they were not accessible due to their location on the Mediterranean Sea; even today they are not the easiest to reach by car. The best travel alternative here is to take the train.
