The island of Averøya has several mountain peaks to offer, including the Meekknoken (752 m above sea level) with a great panorama. It is 7.5 km to the shop in Kårvåg. By car you can also reach the coastal town of Kristiansund. From there, a passenger ferry leaves for the fishing village of Grip.
