The surrounding Drenthe countryside is perfect for long dog walks along quiet trails, scenic meadows, and serene waterways. Just a short drive away, the Boomkroonpad forest trail offers elevated walkways for both pets and owners to enjoy. Back at the park, the shared swimming pool (open May–September) provides a refreshing break after your outdoor excursions. Explore charming nearby towns like Borger and Gasselte, where pet-friendly cafés and sunny terraces serve up Dutch favorites. After a day of exploring and dining, come home to your quiet chalet retreat where nature, comfort, and relaxation are always on the menu. Note: From 31 August until 2 September 2026, the catering facilities will be closed due to the arrival of a group of students. As a result of their presence, some inconvenience or disturbance may occur during this period. Waterslide Closure - Due to the replacement of the waterslide in the swimming pool, it will be out of service from May 4 to July 2, 2026. The swimming pool itself will remain open.

Mooi ruim chalet, waar wij met z'n 3-en een weekend hebben verbleven. Alles is netjes en aanwezig ook de grote badkamer met douchecabine is zeer prettig. Het chalet ligt op een rustig park, waar voor kinderen die van klimmen houden genoeg te doen is. Het buitenzwembad is open vanaf mei, wanneer deze gesloten is mag je gebruik maken van het zwembad op het park Hunzedal (ongeveer 10 minuten met de auto). Enige minpunt voor mensen die daar last van kunnen hebben zijn de ganzen. Het chalet heeft een mooie ligging aan de vijver, maar de ganzen die daar rondzwemmen maken behoorlijk "lawaai". Persoonlijk heb ik mij daar niet aan gestoord, maar kan mij voorstellen dat andere dit als vervelend kunnen ervaren.
