Monserrat is an excellent host. A bottle of sparkling wine and lots of figs awaited our arrival. The house is well designed. Very comfortable, functional, allowing for intimacy. The views from the terraces are fantastic. Area is very calm. Close to great restaurants in La Joya and Villanueva de la Concepcion. 30 minutes to the beautiful city of Antequera. We had a great stay. Thank you Montserrat for the opportunity to "disconnect" from the everyday hustle and bustle of the city. Ania & Robert

My husband and i experienced 3 nice weeks los chapparos, a perfect escape from the world especially in Covid-times. It is a comfortable, clean and cosy house with a beautiful garden, great facilities, an amazing view and a very good internetconnection, which was crucial as we were both working from there. Waking up which such a view on the mountains with olivegroves is a real present, and we already miss it. The owner was very helpfull, easy to communicate with, she even arranged a bread delivery every morning. The house is taken care off by a very good and friendly staff, who solve everything quickly. Eventhough i did not speak Spanish we’ve managed to communicate with bodylanguage and google translate. If needed the owner helped out. So we will come back soon !!

Los Chaparros es definitivamente un lugar especial. La atención de Montse y el mimo con el que Tere cuida la casa son palpables hasta el más mínimo detalle, haciendo de la estancia toda una experiencia de comodidad y relax. El entorno y las vistas son de una belleza sobrecogedoras. La posición privilegiada de la villa permite que se puedan disfrutar de rincones con orientaciones perfectas para cada momento del día. Todas las instalaciones y equipamientos de la casa (que no son pocos) se encontraban en perfecto estado. Sin duda volveremos en cuanto tengamos ocasión.

Los Chaparros is definitely a special place. Montse's attention and the care with which Tere takes care of the house are palpable down to the smallest detail, making the stay an experience of comfort and relaxation. The setting and the views are breathtakingly beautiful. The privileged position of the villa allows you to enjoy corners with perfect orientations for every moment of the day. All the facilities and equipment of the house (which are not few) were in perfect condition. We will definitely return as soon as we get the chance.

This place is truly one of a kind. If you seek distance from everyday stress this is the place to rent. Everything in one package. The facilities have such a eclectic variety of possibilities that we all wished, we had rented a longer time. You can enjoy incredible hikes in Olive country with magical views and mountainous paths. Moreover, if you desire to be active there is a paddle court ,which our family spent several hours a day, and retired to take a fantastic sauna and jacuzzi and a swim in the swimming pool. Then if you just seek meditational relaxation then sitting in the front porch and looking at the most magical view of the terrain is completely soul soothing. The hosts/owners were also so welcoming and accommodating of all our questions and needs. Absolutely a top, top experience from all aspects. We all can highly recommend this place for anyone!!!!

La experiencia alojándonos en Los Chaparros fue maravillosa. Montse estuvo muy atenta a nosotros y nos surtió cada mañana de pan y frutas de la finca. La casa es acogedora, cómoda y estupenda para una escapada en familia o con amigos. Cuenta con mil servicios ideales para hacer la estancia inolvidable. El entorno es fabuloso, las vistas desde todos los rincones de la casa, jardines y piscina, increíbles. ¡Un paraíso en la tierra!

We werden verwelkomd door een uiterst vriendelijke houskeeper. De villa is prachtig het ontbreekt er aan niets. Er is zelfs een padelbaan bij. Het uitzicht is schitterend. In de omgeving ligt het Torcal gebergte wat ook een aanrader is.

We were welcomed by an extremely friendly houskeeper. The villa is beautiful, nothing is missing. There is even a padel court. The view is magnificent. In the area is the Torcal Mountains which is also recommended.

Villa Los Chaparros is absolutely stunning! Montse and Neil were there to greet us and show us around which was lovely. The house is not just a holiday home so it is beautifully maintained and and every detail has been thought about. From the lavender in the drawers to toys for our youngest child - Montse has everything covered! The position of the villa is fantastic with amazing views, a fabulous pool area with hot tub, sauna, pool house etc.. Our kids had a great time exploring the grounds, swimming and playing padel. The inside of the house is super comfortable and has air conditioning, proper kitchen and plenty of space. We had an amazing stay and I would honestly recommend this place to everyone.

Erg mooi huis. Met veel beschutte plekken. Ook veel mogelijkheden om van de zon te genieten. Rustige omgeving. Onze kinderen vermaakten zich best met de padelbaan en jaccuzzi. Helaas was het zwembad te koud, maar gezien het februari was, acceptabel. Het huis ligt centraal om uitstapjes te maken. Alleen al om ergens heen te rijden was al mooi. Door de bergen rijden geeft rust. We hebben o.a. El Torcal bezocht. Indrukwekkend! Zoveel indrukken. Kortom, een huis met rust en toch met veel te doen.

Very nice house. With many sheltered places. Also many possibilities to enjoy the sun. Quiet area. Our children enjoyed themselves with the padel track and jaccuzzi. Unfortunately the pool was too cold, but given it was February, acceptable. The house is centrally located for excursions. Just to drive somewhere was already beautiful. Driving through the mountains gives peace. We visited El Torcal, among others. Impressive! So many impressions. In short, a house with peace and yet with much to do.

Dat was - ondanks het mindere weer - een uitmuntend weekje in Andalusië. Na een uurtje rijden vanaf Malaga vonden wij ( gezin met twee jongens van 16 en 17 jaar) aan het einde van een met olijfbomen omzoomd weggetje rond negen uur Los Chaparros. Na het openen van de poort sprongen de lantaarntjes aan en via een feeërieke oprijlaan lag daar de prachtige villa. Onze gastvrouw (Montserrat Oriol) stond al klaar in een prachtige Spaanse jurk. Omdat we laat zouden arriveren had zij ons aangeboden om wat boodschappen te halen. Het bleek dat er niet alleen stokbrood, melk, kaas, wijn en bier was gehaald, maar Montse had ook soep gekookt, een taart voor ons gebakken en allerlei producten uit haar tuin bereid in de koelkast en klaargezet. Er waren heerlijk bereide olijven, vijgen, jams, druiven, grapefruitsap en hummus. We waren er beduusd van en voelden ons meteen meer dan welkom. De villa zelf is prachtig, goed onderhouden en brandschoon. De tuin is werkelijk adembenemend met veel kleine hoekjes, zitjes, doorkijkjes en volledig geïntegreerd in het landschap. We hebben in de loop der jaren diverse villa’s mogen bezoeken, maar Los Chaparros steekt er met kop en schouders bovenuit. Aan werkelijk alle details, zowel binnen als buiten, is aandacht besteed, de klasse straalt er vanaf. De padeltennisbaan bleek een ware attractie voor onze zoons. Neil, de partner van Montse bood ons aan om ons in te wijden in het spel. Dat was reuze gezellig. Onze gastvrouw en gastheer verbleven enige dagen in een aan de villa grenzend verblijf. We hebben dit niet als storend ervaren omdat beiden zich zeer discreet opstelden. Bovendien bleken beiden erg behulpzaam en zeer aangenaam gezelschap op de contactmomenten. We hebben echt reuze genoten van ons verblijf, het Moorse stadje Antequera bezocht, gewandeld in El Torcal (beiden binnen 30 minuten bereikbaar) en over het paadje van de koning (Caminito de Rey) gelopen. Malaga en Granada zijn ook prima te bereizen, maar we hebben besloten de resterende tijd van ons verblijf in La Higuera te genieten.

That was - despite the bad weather - an excellent week in Andalusia. After an hour's drive from Malaga we found (family with two boys aged 16 and 17) at the end of an olive-lined road around nine o'clock Los Chaparros. After opening the gate, the lanterns lit up and via a magical driveway there was the beautiful villa. Our hostess (Montserrat Oriol) was already ready in a beautiful Spanish dress. Because we would arrive late, she had offered us to get some groceries. It turned out that not only baguette, milk, cheese, wine and beer had been taken, but Montse had also cooked soup, baked a cake for us and prepared all kinds of products from her garden in the fridge. There were deliciously prepared olives, figs, jams, grapes, grapefruit juice and hummus. We were amazed and immediately felt more than welcome. The villa itself is beautiful, well maintained and spotlessly clean. The garden is truly breathtaking with many small corners, seats, vistas and fully integrated into the landscape. We have been allowed to visit several villas over the years, but Los Chaparros stands head and shoulders above it. Particular attention has been paid to all details, both inside and outside, the class radiates from it. The paddle tennis court turned out to be a real attraction for our sons. Neil, the partner of Montse, offered us to introduce ourselves to the game. That was really nice. Our hostess and host stayed for a few days in a residence adjacent to the villa. We did not experience this as disturbing because both were very discrete. Moreover, both were very helpful and very pleasant company on the contact moments.We really enjoyed our stay, visited the Moorish town of Antequera, walked in El Torcal (both reachable within 30 minutes) and on the path of the king (Caminito de Rey ) walked. Malaga and Granada are also easy to travel, but we have decided the remainder

After driving the small roads to the villa, it was a fantastic fine arrival in a very well kept and beautifull driveway. Furthermore we had a very warm velcome by the owner. During our stay, the owner made sure everything was alright by us via mail. The villa is marvellous and it has a luxurious feeling to it. The surroundings are simply breathtaking with a magnificent view over the beautiful landscape. We've had a very lovely holiday at the Villa Los Chaparros, and would like to revisit the place in the future. We certainly can recommend this place to anyone, wanting to experience Andalusia at its best, in luxurious sourroundings.

Zeer hartelijk ontvangen door de eigenares van het huis! Er werd ons bij aankomst een lekker glaasje cava aangeboden en de eigenares had voor ons een flan klaargemaakt! Supervriendelijke dame en heer!!! Het huis en alle voorzieningen zijn super en alles is kraaknet! Het bezorgde ons een echt leuke vakantie. Wij keren zeker nog terug!

Very warmly received by the owner of the house! We were offered a nice glass of cava on arrival and the owner had prepared a flan for us! Super friendly lady and gentleman !!! The house and all amenities are super and everything is immaculate! It gave us a really nice holiday. We will definitely return!

We had booked to spend our golden wedding anniversary with our family in a special location. We were not disappointed. The Villa and location were magic. A very special place. It was well prepared and we were given a special tour of the property by the house keeper. We congratulate the owners on such a wonderful Villa.

Wij kwamen laat aan, we landden om 19.50 uur. Het avondeten werd daardoor een probleem omdat we een baby van 14 maanden bij ons hadden. De eigenaresse had echter een pan heerlijke soep klaarstaan! En 2 flessen Cava. (alles op ) Zij heeft niet voor niets de prijs van “best host” gewonnen. Het huis is fantastisch, niets ontbreekt. Heerlijk zwembad, sauna en jacuzzi. En de padelbaan niet te vergeten. De omgeving is heel mooi, wel wat afgelegen zodat een huurauto absoluut noodzakelijk is.

We arrived late, we landed at 19.50. Dinner was therefore a problem because we had a 14 month baby with us. However, the owner had finished a delicious soup! And 2 bottles of Cava. (Everything on ) She has not won the best host award. The house is fantastic, nothing is missing. Lovely pool, sauna and jacuzzi. And not to forget the paddle track. The surrounding area is very beautiful, though remote so that a rental car is absolutely necessary.

Adembenemende omgeving, prachtige villa met alle voorzieningen, zeer uitgeruste keuken, excellente, hartelijke ontvangst. Wij genoten als gezinnen met jonge kinderen vooral van de heel grote, volledig omheinde tuin, het heerlijke zwembad, de hangmat, de tennisbaan... De gastvrouw was heel vriendelijk, discreet en deed er alles aan om ons een heerlijke vakantie te bezorgen.

Breathtaking environment, beautiful villa with all amenities, very equipped kitchen, excellent, warm welcome. We enjoyed families with young children especially from the very large, fully fenced garden, the lovely swimming pool, the hammock, the tennis court ... The hostess was very friendly, discreet and went out of their way to make us have a wonderful holiday.

La impresión a la llegada fué muy buena. Tan solo nos pareció que no está demasiado cerca del Caminito del Rey( que era realmente el motivo por el que estábamos allí). Hay que desplazarse casi durante una hora por carreteras de montaña hasta la llegada. Otra cosa que no nos gustó es que la dueña se quedó una noche alojada en la misma casa. Es verdad que tenía su propia entrada, pero a través de La Cocina tenía acceso a nuestra zona. Tiene a su disposición una habitación que no es utilizable por los huéspedes y en caso de ir 7 u 8 personas dos de ellas tienen que dormir en un sofá cama en la casa de la piscina

The impression on arrival was very good. We just found it not too close to the King's Walk (which was really the reason we were there). Wij hadden een zeer goede vakantie in Los Chaparros. Deze villa is prachtig. Het is de eigen woning van de gastvrouw, luxueus ingericht, goed onderhouden, super zwembad. Het uitzicht is prachtig. De villa is rustig gelegen - alles is aanwezig voor een goede ontspannen vakantie. De gastvrouw is zeer attent en gastvrij. Ze had voor ons wat boodschappen gedaan omdat we laat arriveerden. Alles aan onze vakantie was in orde. Een aanrader!

We had a very good holiday in Los Chaparros. This villa is beautiful. It is the native home of the hostess, luxuriously appointed, well maintained, super pool. The view is beautiful. The villa is situated - everything is there for a good relaxing holiday. The hostess is very attentive and welcoming. They had us do some shopping because we arrived late. Everything about our vacation was in order. Recommended!

Nous avons passé un séjour magnifique grâce tout d'abord à une maison décorée avec gout où la peinture et l'art sont au rendez-vous. La maison est habillée avec soin et qualité. La piscine, le jaccuzzi, le terrain de tennis ainsi que le sauna sont d'une qualité supérieure. Le service et le suivi donné par les propriétaires et leurs connaissances font que nous nous sentons pratiquement chez nous. De plus, un entretien suivi font que nous nous sentons réellement chouchoutés. A recommander sans aucune hésitation. Merci pour les belles vacances que notre famille a passée grâce à vous.

We had a wonderful stay thanks to all "first in a house decorated with taste where painting and" art await you. The house is dressed with care and quality. It is best to understand this villa as someone's home that has been lovingly built and furnished over a number of years to a very high standard. So you are not staying at a purposely manufactured holiday villa but someone’s proud HOME that the owner will let you enjoy when they are away. We are a family of four, with two teenage boys and found this HOME to cater for all our requirements from the outdoor Pool, Jacuzzi, Sauna and flood lit Tennis/Paddle courts. The garden is fully landscaped and is a delight to wander around and is thoughtfully lit at night. At the right time of year the owner will invite you to share in some of the planted vegetables/fruit should they be ready to pick along with a fully stocked herb garden. (As is the generous nature of this owner throughout our stay). The interior is also fully equipped with electronic blackout shutters and fully controllable A/C in all rooms. This provides a comfortable stay even with a stone cracking 40degC outside. (It is noted there is a wood pile and indoor fire for those more inclement seasons). There is also a full 5MB Wifi, iTunes streaming TV and many worthwhile books/publications throughout the home. The area is in a quite mountain rural location that affords beautiful unspoilt vistas and provides a very private environment (safe too with a sizeable electronic gated perimeter). During our stay no one sustained any insect bites, so helped towards making it a very relaxed holiday. Worth noting there is a small shop some 10 mins walk that stocked 90% of all that we required, plus 15min drive to La Joya there is another small shop plus bakery and restaurants. The local selection of cakes are simple divine (why do our supermarkets not import these bundle of heaven is beyond me!) Antequera (20 min by car) you will find many well stocked shops, bars and restaurants. The drive contains some twisting hill roads so suggest a level of competency at driving would be preferred. Beyond this then well planned day trips to Seville, Granada and Malaga can be made. A trip to the nearby mountain range of the Torcal should be made, that will be suitable for all abilities. Spending large amounts of money on the unknown can be a daunting choice, but I do not regret making this choice and I hope to be able return one day. Bottom line is this HOME will provide you with a very comfortable and relaxed holiday, the rest is up to you -)

Wir waren vom 04.01-11.01 in dieser großartigen Villa. Ein sehr schönes Anwesen, zwar etwas versteckt in den Hügelketten in der Nähe von Antequera und damit etwas abgelegen von Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und größeren Städten, aber wer Erholung und Ruhe sucht ist hier genau richtig. Mit Tennisplatz, Sauna, Whirlpool, Pool, Kamin und Grillstelle, lässt die Villa keinerlei Wünsche offen - gerne wieder!

We were there from 4:01 to 11:01 in this magnificent villa. A very nice property, somewhat hidden in the hills near Antequera, somewhat secluded from shopping and major cities, but those who seek peace and relaxation is the right place. With tennis court, sauna, Jacuzzi, pool, fireplace and barbecue area, the villa can not be desired - we'll be back!

Geweldig ontvangst en lokatie. We moesten wel even zoeken, omdat we niet de juiste coordinaten hadden die we hadden gekregen, maar een telefoontje naar de eigenaar doet wonderen.

Great reception and lokatie.We had to get searching because we did not have the right coordinates that we had received, but a phone call to the owner does wonders.

Unseren Urlaub in dem wunderschönen Haus haben wir sehr genossen. Das Außengelände mit seinem großen gepflegten Pool sowie den Paddeltennisplatz konnten wir in unserem Sommerurlaub ausgiebig nutzen. Auf den verschiedenen Terrassen fand sich stets ein schattiges oder auch sonniges Plätzchen, ganz wie man es sich wünschte. Die Eigentümerin des Hauses hat uns persönlich herzlich empfangen und viele gute Tipps für nah und fern gegeben. Das Haus liegt abseits der Touristenströme aber so zentral, dass sich alle Sehenswürdigkeiten Andalusiens gut erreichen lassen. Auf Wunsch kommt eine nette Haushaltshilfe zur Unterstützung.

Our stay at the beautiful house we enjoyed very much. The outdoor area with its large landscaped pool and the paddle tennis court we could use extensively in our summer vacation. From the different terraces always found a shady or sunny spot, just as you wished it. The owner of the house has personally welcomed us warmly and given lots of good advice for near and far. The house is off the beaten track but so central that can reach all sights of Andalusia. On request, a nice home help comes to support.

Heel hartelijke ontvangst door de eigenaar, deze had wat boodschappen klaargezet aangezien we na sluitingstijd van winkels aankwamen, en een soepje voor ons gemaakt. Huis was brandschoon overal, echt overal! Heerlijke badkamers met eigen (multistraal-)douches. Prachtig zwembad met een huisje daarbij met wc, douche en keukentje; superhandig. Het huis was zowieso handig ingedeeld met verlichting, stopcontacten en schakelaars etc. op de plek waar je het verwacht. De paddle-/tennisbaan hebben we ook veelvuldig kunnen gebruiken als het droog was buiten. Al met al een heerlijk verblijf. Zelfs als het erg nat was buiten konden we tenminste genieten van een lekkere living en grote woonkeuken waar we lekker konden kokkerellen! Echt een aanrader!

Very warm welcome by the owner, it had put some errands done since we arrived after closing of shops, and a soup for us. House was spotless everywhere, everywhere! Delicious with private bathrooms (multijet) showers. Beautiful pool with a cabana while with toilet, shower and kitchenette, super convenient. The house was broken anyway handy with lighting, electrical outlets and switches, etc. on the spot where you expect it. The paddle-/tennisbaan we frequently use when it was dry outside. All in all a wonderful stay. Even if it was very wet outside, we could at least enjoy a nice living room and large kitchen where we could cook delicious! Highly recommended!
