Cozy Cottage in Vaires-sur-Marne with Garden

We stayed in a week in this small but cosy cottage with 3 children (11, 13 and 15). Although the house is situated on a busy road, it is very quiet, as the cottage is behind the main building where the landlord lives. It's like a UK mews house. It is small but adequately furnished with all you would need. In addition to e.g. bedding and kitchen linen, there were also towels provided, toilet paper, a few dishwasher cubes and even filters for the coffee machine (take your own coffee though!). The landlord and his wife are a lovely welcoming couple, who speak great English. They showed us around, had a welcome cake, brought new train tables etc. As it was raining upon arrival, the table tennis table was immediately put up for the kids. The house has a lovely garden, and in Summer time this would be ideal for BBQ. But on the other hand, you are near Paris, so you don't want to spend a day in the cottage... The house is a mere 10 minutes walking from the train station Vaires Torcy, which has 2 trains each hour to Gare de l'Est. You can make a full study from all the train tarriffs, but arriving on Sunday, the Navigo weekly card for EUR36 and a bit provides free travel the entire week in all 5 zones, train, metro, bus. Or you can buy single tickets - whatever suits. Disneyland is 15 minutes away. We bought our tickets by the way online on the French site, filling in the French address of the cottage - and this saved us EUR20 per ticket. Print them out at home, and done... What else can we say? Small supermarket next to the train station you can find the nearest Carrefour / Lidl/ Aldi using the free Wifi provided in the house. We went a day to Reims by car visited Versailles drove through Paris by night (or take the train) - there is a lot to do. And then we all came home very happily to enjoy French cheese and a glass of wine! We can really recommend this lovely house and would gladly return.

Dit huisje is vrij klein maar wel volledig ingericht (van strijkplank tot magnetron zeg maar). Huisbaas is een hele vriendelijke en ENGELS sprekende man. Lokatie van dit appartement is ideaal. Op 12min rustig lopen van station (waar je 2x per uur de trein naar hartje Parijs kunt nemen) en 15minuten met de auto naar Eurodisney. Supermarkt naast het station. Wij zijn hier geweest met 2 kids (12 en 17 jaar) . GEWELDIGE grote prive tuin! Enige nadeel van het huisje er zijn geen aparte slaapkamers voor ouders en kinderen.

This cottage is quite small but fully equipped (microwave from ironing to say). Landlord is a very friendly and ENGLISH speaking man. Location of this apartment is ideal. At 12min walk quietly station (where you 2x per hour by train to the center of Paris can take) and 15mins by car to EuroDisney. Supermarket next to the station. We have been here with 2 kids (12 and 17). GREAT large private garden! Only downside of the cottage there are no separate bedrooms for parents and children.

Goede, rustig gelegen accommodatie. Centraal gelegen voor uitstapjes naar Parijs en Disneyland. Grote supermarkt op 5 minuten rijden. Zeer hulpvaardige eigenaar

Als Willkommensgruß stand ein köstlicher Kuchen auf dem Esstisch, das hat uns nach der langen Fahrt wirklich gut getan! Der Vermieter hat uns persönlich alles Wichtige sehr ausführlich erklärt und alle unsere Fragen geduldig beantwortet. Nach Paris fährt man 20 Minuten mit dem Zug bis zum Gare de l'Est, mit dem Auto sind es 20 Minuten bis Disneyland. Es ist ein idealer Platz, um nach den anstrengenden Tagen mit viel Rumlaufen wieder zur Ruhe zu kommen. Für die Kinder ist der Garten bei schönem Wetter phantastisch. Das Haus ist etwas älter, aber schön renoviert. Die älteren Möbel passen gut zum Ambiente, alles ist gut in Schuss und funktioniert. An Küchenutensilien ist alles da, was man braucht. Wir haben uns dort sehr wohl gefühlt.

As a welcome gift was a delicious cake on the dining table, which has really good for us after a long drive! The landlord has personally explained everything to us very important detail and answered all our questions patiently. To Paris to drive 20 minutes by train to Gare de l 'Est, by car it is 20 minutes to Disneyland. It is an ideal place to come after the exhausting days with a lot of running around to rest again. For the children is the garden in fine weather fantastic. The house is older but beautifully renovated. The older furniture fits well with the atmosphere, everything is in good shape and works. At Kitchenware everything is there what you need. We have very comfortable there felt.

Met onze 2 dochters (7 en 10 jaar) hebben wij hier een heerlijke tijd gehad. Fijn om de drukte van Parijs af te kunnen wisselen met de rust van dit huisje en bijbehorende tuin. Disneyland ligt op een kwartiertje rijden met de auto. Centrum Parijs ongeveer een uur met trein en metro (zone 5). Zeer vriendelijke eigenaar die problemen met vaatwasser snel oploste. Binnen is het klein maar prima ingericht.

Our two daughters (7 and 10 years) we have had a wonderful time here. Nice to be able to exchange information with the rest of the house off the bustle of Paris and its garden. Disneyland is a fifteen minute drive by car. Paris center about an hour by train and metro (zone 5). Very friendly owner who dishwasher problems solved quickly. Inside it is small but well equipped.

Uitstekend verblijf voor een stedentrip naar Parijs. 10 minuten lopen naar het station in Vaires-sur-Marne. Met de trein is het 20 minuten reizen en je bent in Parijs. Bakker en supermarkt op 5 minuten fietsen afstand. Vriendelijke verhuurder. Mooie diepe tuin. In het huisje was alles aanwezig.

Excellent stay for a city break to Paris. 10 minute walk to the station in Vaires-sur-Marne. By train, it is 20 minutes and you are in Paris. Bakery and supermarket a 5 minute bike ride away. Friendly landlord. Beautiful deep garden. The cottage was everything there.
