Tranquil Garden Hideaway

The property is dated and in need of some TLC, there are things within the property that do not work such as the TV, the channel box was broken when we arrived, in spite of reporting the fault it was never fixed, there are multiple extension cords around the property, not sure if it meets basic health and safety standards. Most frustrating part is the situation with linen, although linen is provided, however, beds are not made on arrival and the condition of the linen can be best described as shabby and old, we asked care taker can we at least have matching bed linen, however, we were told the previous family had 10 guests and they used all the linen. You can enjoy the pool after you have cleaned it of the bugs. Shower cubicle needs attention as the door is cracked and we were informed that the previous guests broke it!! Hmmm! Looked broken for a while to us. Now! Good bits - if you want piece and quite this is a perfect location with small villages around the corner, wildlife and insects are in abundance, there is resident mantis in the kitchen window, wild cat that lives within one of the old barn at the back and if you are quiet you might see a dear roaming around within the grounds. I suppose! The big question- will we book again the property and with Belvilla ? Answer is an emphatic NO. Verbo and Belvilla did not even acknowledge the concerns we raised as soon as we arrived, in fact we are still waiting for a response! Not impressed and over priced.

Langs de buitenkant een mooi huis. Gras ging gemaaid worden maar is niet gebeurd. Zwembad was aan vernieuwing toe en zat teveel chloor in. Lakens waren volgens mij uit de jaren 60 maar wel proper. Keukenlinnen was niet aanwezig. Van binnen oude meubels en electriciteit niet conform. Heel donker van binnen. In een kamer was het ook niet proper aan een kant. Voor de rest wel functioneel en alle keukengerei aanwezig maar ook weer gedateerd. Omgeving heel rustig en dichtbij supermarkt en rivier. TV werkte maar de beloofde tv Vlaanderen werkte niet.

A beautiful house on the outside. Grass was going to be mowed but that didn't happen. The swimming pool needed to be renovated and had too much chlorine in it. Sheets were from the 60s I think, but clean. Kitchen linen was not provided. Inside, old furniture and electricity not compliant. Very dark inside. In one room it was also not clean on one side. The rest is functional and all kitchen utensils are present, but also dated. Very quiet area and close to supermarket and river. TV worked but the promised TV Flanders did not work.

Ankunft ,Unterkunft hervoragend . Umgebung ,Menschen sehr rustikal man ist als Deutscher nicht immer willkommen.

Arrival, accommodation excellent. Surroundings, people very rustic one is not always welcome as a German.

ronduit geweldig. Elke dag reeën in de tuin, bijna tot aan de voet van de buitentafel terwijl je aan het eten bent... Vrijheid voor onze honden, en ook een zeer mooie en rustige omgeving.

nothing short of amazing. Deer in the garden every day, almost to the foot of the outside table while you are eating ... Freedom for our dogs, and also a very nice and peaceful environment.

Prettige ontvangst door een nederlands sprekende beheerder. Het huis is compleet ingericht en de eigenaar heeft zijn best gedaan, het een gezellige indruk te geven. De bedden zijn ruim en comfortabel. Het terras rondom het huis is heerlijk met een grote parasol aanwezig voor de schaduw. Er is een grote grastuin en er staan gezellige bloemen rondom het huis. We hebben twee keer een hertje door de tuin zien oversteken.

Pleasant reception by a Dutch speaking manager. The house is fully furnished and the owner has done his best to give it a cozy impression. The beds are spacious and comfortable. The terrace around the house is lovely with a large parasol for the shade.There is a large grass garden and there are cozy flowers around the house. We saw a deer crossing the garden twice.

Aankomst er was niemand aanwezig met aankomst, we moesten de eigenaar bellen. Hij was er binnen 15min. Accomodatie redelijk verouderd maar van veel gemakken voorzien. Niet geheel schoon. Omgeving echt een hele mooie en grote tuin met veel natuur. Heerlijke rustige omgeving

Arrival there was nobody present with arrival, we had to call the owner. He was there within 15min.Accomodation reasonably outdated but with many conveniences. Not entirely clean.Environment really a beautiful and large garden with lots of nature. Wonderful quiet environment

Het huis staat op een heerlijk rustig plek, waar nog echt stilte heerst. Je hebt er volledige privacy.

The house stands on a lovely quiet spot, which still prevails really quiet. You have complete privacy.

Groot huis met veel grond. Zelfs een eigen oprijlaan met fruitbomen. Altijd wel ergens een plekje uit de zon indien gewenst. Het gras op het weiland was al enige tijd niet gemaaid en stond erg hoog. Hierdoor besloten de hertjes om gewoon door de tuin te passeren. Geweldig!! De inboedel was antiek en je waande je in een eeuwenoude hoeve, hetgeen ook wel klopte want het pand stamde uit de 17e eeuw. Ook in de omgeving bleek de tijd te hebben stilgestaan. Wij vonden het prachtig.

Big house with lots of land. Even a private driveway with fruit trees. Always somewhere a place out of the sun if desired. The grass on the pasture was not mowed for some time and was very high. This makes the deer decided to simply pass through the garden. Amazing !! The furniture was antique and you imagined yourself in a centuries old farm, which also tapped because the building dated from the 17th century. Also to have stopped around the time proved. We loved it.

Lovely old house in quiet, rustic area - well off the beaten track - few km away from Puys L'Eveque. Deer and horses came into the garden almost every day. Plenty of space for children to roam and play. Swimming and canoe hire quite close in Puys L'Eveque, supermarkets and restaurants. Great weather for two weeks, 28-31 degrees (24 August-7 September). Ate breakfast in the sun on the terrace most mornings and had a BBQ some evenings. Great place to relax and chill out.

Wij komen voor het vijfde jaar in dit huisje! De ligging is werkelijk prachtig en wij zullen hier zeker blijven terugkomen.

We come for the fifth year in this house! The location is really beautiful and we will keep coming back here for sure.

Prachtige ligging. Woonkamer wat donker. Keuken prima. Sanitair simpel en functioneel.
