Riviera Villa Near Cannes

I am writing to you with serious concern and deep frustration. Last night, we experienced a complete electrical failure at the property. As of this morning: • There is no electricity • No functioning lights • We cannot cook • The swimming pool is completely unusable To make matters worse, the pool was already in poor condition due to minimal maintenance, but now—without electricity—the water is stagnant, the system is off, and there is no circulation at all. This is not just unpleasant, it is a potential health hazard. We are now several days into our stay (since Saturday), and I have reported multiple serious problems—from lack of hygiene, broken furniture, missing essentials, to access issues and now a total systems failure—and nothing has been resolved. I have spent hours trying to get help from Bell Villa, calling, messaging, and explaining everything over and over again. Their response has been completely unhelpful. I was told previous bad reviews had been resolved, which gave me confidence to book this villa. Clearly, that was misleading. There is: • No one managing access to the community • No communication or response from your side • No urgency to solve what are clearly critical issues ⸻ I am demanding, firmly and clearly: 1. That you send a technician/electrician immediately to restore power 2. That you arrange urgent maintenance for the pool and basic systems today 3. That you take responsibility for the shocking condition we found this property in 4. That you compensate us or find an alternative solution if this is not resolved today ⸻ We are here for one week, and so far, our experience has been extremely stressful and uncomfortable. This is not what was advertised, and it is not what we paid for. If this is not addressed within hours, I will be forced to escalate this via: • The booking platform • Official complaint channels • Public reviews and legal options if necessary Please understand: this is no longer just a matter of inconvenience—it is about basic safety, hygiene,… Belvilla is the worst company I have ever dealt with. Poor Dutch-speaking agents, having to explain the whole story every time because you get someone new on the line, broken promises to call back, promises to follow up via email but never doing so. We explained the seriousness of the situation again and again, sent photos to the SOS service, but no one responded. A truly worthless company.

Huis is in zeer slechte staat, vochtige ruimtes dus slecht voor gezondheid, buitenmeubilair valt uit elkaar, zeil van pergola is aan alle kanten stuk en hangt er half overheen, zwembadinstallatie staat uit en kabels hangen uit de kast lijkt doorgebrand te zijn, matrassen in elke kamer zijn super vies en stinken naar pis, lampen werken hier en daar niet, keukenkastjes zitten met een schroef vast, andere keukenkastjes vallen van ellende bijna, alles was vies in de keuken toen we aankwamen, schimmelvlekken overal in de woning vanwege het slechte binnenklimaat, superslecht voor de gezondheid, wij hadden 6 kinderen mee waarvan 1 met astma en die had het niet best, wij hebben vanaf onze aankomstdag Belvilla proberen te bellen en 22 medewerkers in totaal aan de lijn gehad maar niemand hielp ons om een vevrangende ruimte te vinden, ben 3 dagen aan het bellen geweest en hebben toen zelf besloten weg te gaan met alle gevolgen van dien, nieuw verblijf betalen teleurgestelde kinderen etc.etc. Belvilla is de slechtste partij waar ik ooit mee te maken heb gehad, gebrekkig nederlands sprekende mensen aan de lijn, elke keer weer opnieuw alles moeten vertellen omdat je telkens een andere aan de lijn krijgt, beloftes om terug te bellen maar niet doen, beloftes met oplossingen op de mail maar niet doen, de ernst van de situatie telkens weer uitgelegd , foto’s gestuurd naar de SOS dienst maar niemand die reageert. Echt een hele waardeloze firma die Belvilla, ik ga een aanklacht indienen. Wel dient gezegd te worden dat onze host die de villa net twee weken in beheer had ons aan alle kanten heeft proberen te helpen maar ook telkens tegen het logge apparaat Belvilla aanliep. Mensen echt waar , huur deze villa niet!!! Prachtige uitzichten maar slecht bereikbaar en absoluut aan vervanging toe. Bovendien het klimaat in de villa is erbarmelijk.

House is in very poor condition, damp areas are therefore bad for health, outdoor furniture is falling apart, pergola tarpaulin is broken on all sides and is half hanging over it, swimming pool installation is turned off and cables hanging from the cupboard appear to be burnt out, mattresses in every rooms are super dirty and stink of piss, lamps don't work here and there, kitchen cabinets are stuck with a screw, other kitchen cabinets are almost falling due to misery, everything was dirty in the kitchen when we arrived, mold stains everywhere in the house due to the poor indoor climate, super bad for our health, we had 6 children with us, 1 of whom had asthma and he was not doing well, we tried to call Belvilla from the day of our arrival and had 22 employees on the phone in total, but no one helped us to find an emergency room, I was on the phone for 3 days and then decided to leave with all the consequences that entails, paying for new accommodation, disappointed children, etc. etc. Belvilla is the worst party I have ever had to deal with, poor Dutch speaking people on the line, having to tell everything again and again because you always get someone else on the line, promises to call back but don't, promises with solutions on email but don't do it, the seriousness of the situation explained again and again, photos sent to the SOS service but no one responds. Belvilla is a really worthless company, I'm going to file a complaint. It must be said that our host who had been managing the villa for just two weeks tried to help us in every way, but also kept running into the cumbersome Belvilla device. People really, don't rent this villa!!! Beautiful views but poorly accessible and definitely in need of replacement. Moreover, the climate in the villa is appalling.
