You shouldn't miss a nostalgic ride on the narrow-gauge railway to the Brocken; the nearest train station is in Schierke, about ten kilometers away. The Brocken Coaster also invites you to take adventurous rides there. Cultural highlights include visits to the Rübeland stalactite caves and a tour of the Königshütte mine.
