Delfstrahuizen, where the water villas are located, is a small Frisian village; here you'll find a supermarket, a few bars, outdoor cafes and restaurants within walking distance. The vibrant harbour of Lemmer (approx. 11 km) is very popular with water sports enthusiasts. During the summer, the historical building and terraces at the quayside create a beautiful decor. Heerenveen (approx. 14km.) and even Leeuwarden (approx. 44km.) -European Capital of Culture in 2018- can be reached easily.
