Boomhiemke holiday park is a midsize holiday park with various facilities. It is located in one of the most beautiful spots on Ameland at the foot of the Hollumer dunes and adjacent to the Jan Roepesheide nature preserve. Here you are free to enjoy a pristine natural setting that offers ultimate rest and relaxation. The good location close to the beach makes Boomhiemke a popular holiday destination.
The park has more than enough to experience for visitors of all ages. There is a bowling alley, a swimming pool, a mini-golf course, various playgrounds and a wellness centre. A recreation team is available during school holidays. They organise activities that you can take part in free of charge. And there is also plenty to see and do beyond the park itself. You can explore the Jan Roepesheide nature preserve and of course the beach. Nearby villages, such as Hollum with its charming little shops, restaurants and cafes, are well worth a visit, as are the museums.
Ameland is a relatively small island, so it's ideal for exploring by bicycle. You can simply hire bikes at the park, or bring your own bikes along. Ameland holiday park: a great holiday destination for the whole family, where you can really unwind and experience ultimate relaxation!
This charming thatched bungalow offers a cozy retreat for up to six guests, featuring two bedrooms with box spring beds, a modern bathroom with bath and shower, and a bright living room with TV. The open kitchen comes fully equipped with a dishwasher, microwave, and fridge-freezer, while central heating ensures year-round comfort. Step outside to a private terrace with garden furniture, perfect for meals in the fresh air. Guests also enjoy access to the park’s roofed swimming pool, children’s amenities, and ample green space, making it ideal for families and pets.
Located just 100 meters from the dunes and beach, this villa is a wonderful base for coastal adventures. Spend your days walking sandy shores, cycling through scenic trails, or exploring the island’s historic lighthouses. Pets are welcome too—take your four-legged companion for beach runs, nature walks, or even join the pet-friendly community events often hosted nearby. Golf lovers will find a course in Hollum, while nature enthusiasts can enjoy birdwatching and island hikes.
In Hollum, local restaurants serve fresh seafood, Dutch specialties, and international flavors, many with terraces where pets are welcome. Browse village shops, visit small museums, or enjoy casual cafés within minutes of the park. With ferry access connecting you easily to the mainland, the location balances relaxation with convenience, making it easy to explore, dine, and unwind.
Specifics
- Reservations will not be accepted for groups or parties of people under the age of 21.
- In the week of 5.12.22 - 11.12.22 the facilities are closed in the midweeks.
- Groups, if not travelling as a family, will be charged EURO 100 p.p. deposit.
- Should you decide to take the car with you to Ameland, please note that you must reserve a place for your car on the ferry well in advance. Because of Corona, pedestrians must also book in advance from 16 June to join the ferry. Book the ferry on 0900 9238. Information about the departure times can be found at www.wpd.nl
- We would like to draw your attention to the fact that in the period 01-11-2021 to April 1, 2022 and October 31, 2022 to January 9, 2023, the Koos Kids Club will be closed and there will be no recreation program.
- You will receive a cost overview by email from the park for the additional costs/local costs. You are required to pay this account before your arrival. This will avoid unnecessary delays on checking in and you will then be able to start your holiday immediately
- Reservations for groups of persons under 21 years of age are not permitted
- This holiday home is available for recreational purposes only. Bookings on behalf of companies will be cancelled and possible cancellation costs will be charged
- Pets will be allowed on request only and a mandatory final cleaning fee applies
- This accommodation is located in a holiday park. There are multiple units. To book more than one unit, please contact us via chat.
- For groups (such as groups of friends), young people and last-minute bookings, a deposit of € 50 p..p. / 500 p.p. may apply.

Een goed huisje met voldoende ruimte. Netjes meubilair en ruime voorraad aan servies. Badkamer kan wel een opknapbeurt gebruiken. Er is veel ruimte om het huis heen en heeft verschillende terrassen om ook met harde wind buiten te kunnen zitten. Ook dichtbij de natuur en het strand. En de konijntjes die af en toe op bezoek kwamen. Wij hebben ons goed vermaakt.

Erg genoten van een fijn , hygiënisch schoon en opgeruimd verblijf . Fantastiche plek om te zijn, vriendelijke mensen en geweldig eiland ervaring. We hebben wederom weer genoten van een prachtig stukje Nederland! Bedankt!

Vriendelijke ontvangst, ook al waren we wat laat. Helemaal goed! De omgeving is natuurlijk sowieso geweldig, maar ook het park ziet er keurig uit. Op een gedeelte wordt nog gebouwd en ik was blij niet daar te zitten. Door de werkzaamheden ziet dat er niet zo gezellig uit. Maar het wordt vast heel mooi. Onze bungalow was mooi, leuke inrichting, compleet ook. Ook de keuken vond ik behoorlijk compleet en dat is voor mij altijd belangrijk.

mooie ligging, veel privacy rondom het huis, de auto naast het huis en voor de kinderen een heerlijk zwembad /midgetgolf etc. Ook het restaurant kunnen wij aanbevelen , prijs /kwaliteit. Heerlijk om te fietsen, welke je ook op het park kan huren, in een paar woorden een relaxte vakantie.Hopelijk komen wij hier terug.
