The Meussen family's small-scale holiday park Schuttersoord is located in a beautiful natural area, directly near the forests of Mook and Groesbeek. From here, you can plan great hiking and cycling routes, for example through the special Mookerheide area. This nature reserve is full of surprises, for example when the heather is in bloom, offering beautiful purple colours. The height differences provide unique views of the Meuse river and the church of Cuijk with its two towers.

Even though you might not directly think of a beach holiday when you consider this region, this is actually one of the possibilities. Even more: you can get on your bike and you can enjoy the sandy beach of the Mookerplas at just 5 km from the holiday park. A wonderful place to go on a warm summer day. On your way back, you could stop by the ice-cream parlour at the nearby marina, before you cycle back to the forested area. Two different worlds that are still very close to each other. A third world can be found at just 11 km from the holiday park: the city of Nijmegen.The historic city centre with its beautiful buildings and the oldest shopping street of the Netherlands is absolutely worth a visit.

In holiday park Schutteroord itself, you will mainly find peace and quiet. There is a small playground though, where the kids can enjoy themselves so that you can experience the peace and quiet.
A hospitality tip: at the edge of nature reserve Mookerheid (within walking distance) you will find Restaurant 't Zwaantje: a hospitable and pleasant place that has existed for more than 130 years (!!) and where you can get a nice drink and great bite to eat at any time of the day.
