Glamping Resort Lauwersmeer is a car-free holiday park that will open its gates in 2023. With its location in the village of Vierhuizen in the province of Groningen, not far from National Park Lauwersmeer, this is a versatile destination.

You will stay in sturdy, fully equipped safari tents. The genuine glamping feeling; camping without the usual hassle, with the comfort of a holiday home. The car-free character of the holiday park makes it ideal for families with children. Spread over the park you will find several playgrounds. So the kids will have no trouble making new friends. You will find the service point and the take away in the old inn in the park. There is also a mini market. Here you can order fresh bread rolls for your breakfast too.

There is more than enough to do in the area. The artificial hills (wierden) in this area used to protect the area against the high water of the Lauwerzee. Vierhuizen is therefore a real wierde village. The landscape is characterized by water, vast meadows and forests. For water fun you can go to the Lauwersmeer. The nature here is so special that it has been declared a National Park. If you want to sail, you can rent a boat. Prefer to relax on a beach? That is possible in Lauwersoog. The Wadden Island of Schiermonnikoog is easy to reach by ferry. A beautiful island with unspoiled nature and tranquility. The pleasant city of Groningen (32 km.) is also definitely worth a visit.

Lauwersmeer is a spot where it still gets truly dark at night. So it's perfect for stargazing, from one of the special observation towers or from elsewhere. An experience in itself!

This comfortable, detached safari tent is located at the Lauwersmeer Glamping Resort, which opened in 2023. It is located in the small village of Vierhuizen, 10 km van Lauwersoog, near the Lauwersmeer National Park.

The safari tent is fully equipped and covers two floors. On the ground floor, you will find the kitchenette and the bathroom with shower and toilet. A fixed staircase takes you to the upper/sleeping floor from the outside. Here you will find two single beds (which may be set up as a double) and a TV.

Outdoor life occurs on the spacious veranda on the ground floor or the roof terrace on the first floor. Both the veranda and the roof terrace come with garden furniture.

Lauwersmeer Glamping Resort is a car-free holiday park. On arrival and departure days, you can drive your car to your safari tent to load or unload your luggage. You can park your car in the central car park of the holiday park. This way, we keep the park quiet, and children can safely play outside.

At Lauwersmeer Glamping Resort, you can book various safari tents for two to six people.
