Every Saturday you can buy fresh crayfish and other seafood from a fishing boat; this can be arranged in advance if you want to secure a few kilos. If you want a city experience, Bergen is only a short hour’s drive away, known for Bryggen, Fløybanen, the fish market and lots of restaurants and shopping places.
