6 person holiday home in Bømlo

Das Haus liegt direkt an der Hauptstraße der Insel. Es ist vollständig ausgestattet mit allem was man zum Urlaub braucht. Empfehlungen: We explored the island from north to south, visited Brandasund, went shopping in Heiane and even tried our luck panning for gold at the old Gullgruvene. Of course, we also visited Espevær and learned a lot about lobster fishing. It was great that we could easily get there on foot and by ferry. The little passenger ferry is really charming!Whenever the rain gave us a break, we walked to the beautiful Løningsvatnet, which is just around the corner from the house. We also completed two hikes: one near Berge through the beautiful nature reserve, and of course the hike to Siggjo with its 1,010 stone steps to the summit – quite a challenge! We especially loved the trail in Berge. Visitors from the rest of Europe should just be prepared for what Norwegians call hiking trails: not the wide, well-maintained paths we are used to, but rocky tracks through marshland. Nevertheless, it was a fantastic experience.We also made several trips in the surrounding area, visited many waterfalls – our favourite was definitely Låtefoss – explored the Viking Museum in Avaldsnes, which we found historically fascinating, and enjoyed an evening in Haugesund. Skudeneshavn, however, was probably the only place that did not quite meet our expectations.All in all, we had a wonderful holiday despite the rather mixed weather.
