Interestingly, the water in the Lagoon is sometimes salty, because the sea water in strong winds retreats towards the lagoon, instead of going deeper into the sea. In the town, we can therefore catch saltwater and freshwater species of fish. A kilometer from Dziwnówek, in Wrzosowo, there is the Baltic Dinosaur Park. It is an ideal place for the whole family, focused on active outdoor recreation. In addition to the educational trail with impressive dinosaur figures, there is also a mini zoo in the form of a safari, which is inhabited by, among others, alpacas, llamas, ostriches, pigs, ornamental birds, and even a white kangaroo from Australia.
