A little further out you can swim in the sea. Boat trips to the smaller islands depart from Fyrudden. Popular archipelago communities such as Valdemarsvik, Loftahammar and Västervik lie like a string of pearls. Don't miss the summer town of Västervik with its picturesque town centre, its restaurants and many summertime events. Popular Loftahammar with boaters, restaurants, cafes and cooling baths by beaches and cliffs. Tour boats depart for the archipelago from both Loftahammar and Västervik. For the youngest, a visit to Astrid Lindgren's World in Vimmerby is usually popular. Or why not Kolmårdens Djurpark with an ice cream stop in wonderful Söderköping on the way.
