In the Port d'Alcúdia there are all kinds of restaurants for all tastes, featuring fresh fish, fine meat, pizza and pasta, sushi, tapas, tasting menus and Majorcan cuisine. The old town of Alcúdia, with its cobblestone streets is worth a visit; discover squares, the church and the medieval walls surrounding the old city. Tuesdays and Sundays are market days here, and the town is transformed into a bustling and lively place. Do not forget to visit the Roman ruins - highly recommended. Car or bus will very easily take you to other areas like the Platja de Muro, Can Picafort, Platja de Formentor or Puerto Pollensa. Cala Sant Vicenç is also worth a trip. The town of Pollença and its small church on top of the hill (the Calvari) makes an interesting half-day excursion. Climbing the 365 Calvari steps will give you magnificent views over the region.
