Sights from our flats in Berlin

There is always plenty to do from our flats in Berlin. Pay a visit to Charlottenburg, the centre of West Berlin, before the fall of the wall. There are many impressive sights, such as the Memorial Church, the Kurfürstendamm, the Kunstgewerbemuseum, the Gemäldegalerie, the Philharmonie (concert hall), the St. Matthew's Church, the Olympic Stadium, the Zoological Gardens (Zoo) and the Kaiser-Wilhelm-Gedächtniskirche. The Tiergaten district, the political heart of Germany, is also well worth a visit. This area used to be a hunting ground, but now you'll find a beautiful park there. The German Parliament 'Bundestag' is also located here, in the Reichstag building. The glass dome of this building, designed by Sir Norman Foster, is a popular attraction. On the border with the Mitte district is Potsdamer Platz, a square with offices as well as cosy cafes and restaurants. A meeting place for both businessmen and tourists, for young and old alike. Outside the city, we find the impressive castle Schloss Charlottenburg, which is definitely worth a visit.
