From Fügen it's 14 kilometers uphill. At the end of the valley is Hochfügen (1480 m above sea level). The alpine pastures and forests around the small settlement of hotels and huts in the community of Fügenberg are considered a hiking and mountain biking paradise.

The numerous bicycle rental stations open their doors in spring, the four swimming lakes/adventure outdoor pools provide cooling in the summer, and many customs can be found at the numerous Almabtrieb events in the fall. The Zillertal also has an excellent golf course.
