Of course you can also take the cable car up and down. You shouldn't miss a nostalgic ride on the narrow-gauge railway up the Brocken; the nearest train station is in Schierke, about ten kilometers away. The Brocken Coaster also invites you to adventurous descents. The cultural highlights include visits to the Rübeland stalactite caves and a visit to the Königshütte mine.
