Villapark Schildmeer

Your own sloop during your holiday! On the banks of the 350 hectare Schildmeer and at the edge of the village of Steendam, you will find Villapark Schildmeer. From the park you have access to 600 km of navigable water nearby. Fantastic for taking boat trips through the natural surroundings and the many charming villages of Groningen. All of this with your own 6 person sloop, which you can use during a stay from April to October. But there is more than water. It is possible to hit a ball on a brand new golf course (9 holes) 250 metres from the park. The area has fortresses, churches and museums and forms a beautiful area to take walking and cycling excursions. Thanks to the location in the heart of the province, there are various tourist attractions at hand, such as the famous hanging kitchens in Appingedam and the historic fortress town of Bourtange.
