Skiing fun for the entire family in the Gerlitzen ski area

The family-friendly Gerlitzen ski resort (Gerlitzen Alps) is centrally located in the heart of Carinthia near Lake Ossiach. Gerlitzen offers 51 km of well-groomed, wide slopes for all levels of skiers (mostly red) and modern lifts. Children can enjoy 3 special practice slopes with a Children’s and Snow Bear Land, well-trained ski instructors and family-friendly restaurants. There is also a ‘4-All’ race track with time measurement on the Moserhang slope (Kanzelhöhe mid-mountain station) and ‘your speed’ measurements on the Neugarten speed downhill run, as well as a photo point. Freestylers and snowboarders can spend the day at the Gerlitzen freeride area and freestyle park at the highest point of the Klösterle descent II (with curved box, XXL kicker, rails, deep snow descents and more). Those looking for more challenges will find several additional ski resorts within easy reach. Snow is guaranteed from late November to April, thanks to sophisticated snowmaking machinery. There are also various tracks for cross-country skiers, including a Panorama track (medium difficulty level). So rent a ski chalet in the winter sports resort of Gerlitzen and enjoy an unforgettable winter sports holiday!

Ski chalets around Gerlitzen

Enjoy the Carinthia region, beautiful nature and all the winter sports possibilities offered by Gerlitzen while staying in one of our holiday homes, apartments, holiday accommodations or detached ski chalets in the villages around the Gerlitzen Alps (including Treffen, Villach, Afritz am See, Wernberg, Ossiach and Steindorf am Ossiacher See). If you’d like to spend a day off the slopes, you can visit the charming city of Villach, with its historic centre. Villach combines Austrian and Italian cultural influences and is particularly enchanting when decorated for the Christmas season. Spend a day exploring Villach or relaxing in the thermal baths at the Warmbad-Villach or Bad Bleiberg spas.
