Vandans (659 m) is a historic town in the Montafon valley. Holidaymakers have spent their summer holidays here since 1920, due to the beautiful natural surroundings and ideal location on the Lünersee. The town later became a winter sports destination. There is a supermarket, bakery and a few restaurants in Vandans, but naturally you can also cook up a hot meal of your own in your ski chalet in Vandans!

Winter sports holiday in Montafon and Golm

An 8-person gondola (Golmerbahn) takes you from Vandans to the Golm ski resort (Golmerjoch, 2124 m) in only a few minutes' time. Golm is a smaller ski resort, with 35 km of slopes, 9 lifts, a 3 km-long natural toboggan run (Latschau-Vandans), the ‘Alpine Coaster Golm’, Golmikinderland and a panorama restaurant (both at Bergstation Grüneck), practice and family-friendly slopes, as well as deep powder snow skiing, red and challenging black (Diabolo) category slopes and even a World Cup slope! You can even ski to the village of Vandans. Cross-country skiers can enjoy the Vandans-St.Anton im Montafon track and hikers can walk the Vandans-St.Anton im Montafon hiking trail. The Golm ski resort is part of the Montafon skiing area, a true eldorado for skiers, with 243 km of descents, 60 mountain lifts, 100 km of cross-country tracks, 290 km of winter hiking trails… and much, much more!
