The popular winter sports area Pitztal
Pitztal has been well and truly overrun in the last few years to become one of the liveliest ski resorts in Austria and is prized by young sports men and women. There are three slopes: Hochzeiger, Rifflsee and Piztaler Gletsjer. In the latter you can partake in winter sports from autumn to summer.

The villages in this area are: Arzl, Wenns, Jerzens and St. Leonhard. The motto of these four villages is« Live in harmony with nature ». In fact, the inhabitants think very highly of nature and try to ensure it is respected. Jerzens offers many possibilities to beginners and more seasoned skiers alike. The 40 kilometres of cross-country pistes in the valley will make cross-country fans very happy indeed. The paths will lead you through beautiful scenery where there are unusual sights galore.

There are activities for children and babies in the Mandarfen fun-park. This park is huge with a surface area of over 20 000 m². Amongst the attractions on offer in the park there is a carrousel for children, childrens restaurants, slides and of course, lots of fun and games.
