Bardonecchia is where the Olympic Snowboard Championships were held in 2006. The Melezet Ski Complex is used for this. The Italian city has a vast ski resort with a lot of space for slopes and cross-country skiing. The ski complex used for this has two runs. The competitions took place in the form of a giant slalom and a halfpipe. The course for the halfpipe has even been laid for the Winter Games. The Olympic halfpipe is accessible to the public since March 2006 after the Olympic Games.
