Winter sports in the North of Italy offer guaranteed snow
The ski area Val Chiavenna is located near the border of Switzerland, just North of the Como lake. It consists of the ski areas Madesimo and Campodolcino and has approx. 50 km ski pistes of different levels. There are many opportunities for langlauf and snowboarding.

With its high location the winter sports area Val Chiavenna is a sunny, but snow guaranteed area. The pretty pistes are of high quality and the Canalone descent is one of the nicest black pistes in Italy. The good ski lifts system brings you to all the pistes directly from the village. Most pistes in this area are difficult red ones, but even the blue pistes are quite steep. During your descent you will enjoy the stunning region and after all the exhaustions in the snow there is enough to do in one of the great villages.
Romantic winter sports in Val Chiavenna.
The village Madesimo is located at 1200 m above the Como lake in a narrow valley. The village is very atmospheric and you can sip your expresso on the terraces around the charming church square from spring. You will find unspoilt nature and alpine romance in the region. In Campodolcino too, you will find tranquillity and romance. Both villages are great destinations for a winter sports holiday with the whole family, and everybody - young or old - will have a great time here.
