La Via Lattea, heaven on earth

Italys largest continuous ski resort contains about 400 kilometres of ski runs. Via Lattea literally means milk route and is situated near the French border in Piemonte. As the centre point of this winter sports resort, Sestrière is the most popular among the more advanced winter sports fan. Other ski resorts in Via Lattea are Sauze d'Oulx, Sansicario, Cesana and Claviere. The magnificent Monte Banchetta offers the most fantastic slopes with a height difference of 1,000 metres through the fantastic Italian countryside.

For modern winter sports, book a cottage in this resort.

The Managing Director of the car manufacturer FIAT started in the 1930s with building up this winter sports resort, which is characterized by a realistic modern constructional style. Sestrière is a fashionable winter sports resort and a heavenly location for snow lovers. The modern ski lift network ensures that the various subareas of the Via Lattea are perfectly interconnected so you do not need ski bus services.

The nicest slopes are from your chalet near the ski run.

The ski resort offers several wide ski runs in case you would rather go down the ski run on a snowboard. Sun worshippers will also not be disappointed in this resort. The nearby area has something for everyone and is an ideal destination for beginners and advanced winter sports fans. The possibilities for cross-country skiing are limited. Also after an active day, there is plenty of nightlife in the many restaurants, bars, cafés and even a discotheque.
