There are around 60 mountain lakes in the Salzburg Lungau, such as the Prebersee or the Schlierersee, the Lungau/Katschberg golf club is very close to the town center and for swimming fun you can go to the outdoor pools in Sankt Michael im Lungau, Mariapfarr and Mauterndorf or the BadeInsel adventure pool in Tamsweg. In Sankt Margarethen im Lungau there is the Katschberg-Aineck ski area in particular.
