Here, thousands of cranes rest in autumn, creating a spectacular natural phenomenon. The Bodden lagoon is an ideal area for all kinds of water sports and is also very popular with anglers. Just a few kilometers from Vieregge lies the Schaabe, a twelve-kilometer-long spit of land with fine sand, considered one of Rügen's most beautiful beaches. Opposite Vieregge is the island of Hiddensee, which can be reached by ferry from Schaprode. The island's famous sights, such as the chalk cliffs, Granitz Hunting Lodge, and the white town of Putbus, can be reached by car in less than 45 minutes. Schönes Haus zum wohlfühlen, aber dreckige Fenster, Matratzen und Flecken an den Wänden von erschlagenen Mücken. In der Küche fehlt eine große Schüssel für Salat und das Mülleimer Auszugs-System unter der Spüle ist kaputt, so dass es beim Öffnen runterkippt.
