Description

Enjoy a luxury holiday with villa Tranquille in beautiful Limoux. This spacious six-bed villa has a private pool and phenomenal views over the village and the mountains beyond. The villa has three bedrooms, three bathrooms and internet access. The various terraces offer plenty of seating areas. At this villa you have optimal privacy. Located in the heart of the 'Land of the Cathars'. Surrounded by the mountains of the Corbières. Close to the famous Cathar castles of Montsegur, Peyrepertuse and Queribus and close to the Spanish border.

The villa is on the outskirts of the city of Limoux where great wines come from and also the Blanquette de Limoux. Limoux is a nice cosy town to visit. For example, every year a Carnival festival is organised in the city. There are also numerous interesting cultural sights, such as the Pont-Neuf de Limoux. This ancient bridge dates back to the 18th century AD. Remnants of various fortifications from the 14th century are also visible in several places in the city. The Notre-Dame de Marceille basilica is also definitely worth a visit. Limoux is a good base for a wonderful holiday in the Languedoc-Roussillon region. From the garden, you have views of several mountain ranges, including the sacred mountain Pic de Bugarach. According to 'experts', the world would perish in 2012 because the Mayan calendar ended in that year. Only at this special mountain would salvation be found. The house has air-conditioning and fiber internet facilities also available.

The house is very comfortable and spacy. It is located beautifully high up in the city Limoux with the most wonderful view over Limoux and the mountains. Very quiet location. The sunrise is spectacular especially when viewed from the 1st floor. The house has everything you need - the kitchen is well equipped. If you rent bed linen and towels you get plenty of towels - both for showering and for the pool. We received lots of information and instructions before we arrived and when we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by Birgit who is responsible for the house on behalf of the owners. Birgit is really doing a great job. She was very careful about explaining lots of practical and useful details to us. She also takes care of the cleaning - it is a big house but everything was 110% clean. We felt very welcome and at home from the moment we met Birgit and the house. Frank is taking care of the pool and many other things…. He is also very helpful. We were very sad when our stay was over - we really enjoyed our vacation!
