Description

The holiday apartment is located in the heart of the Vulkaneifel, near the town of Daun with its many tourist attractions. The landscape of the Eifel was shaped by volcanic activity in the past. The lava bomb and the volcano museum near Strohn provide insights into this. In Bad Bertrich, you will find the Glauber's salt thermal baths with a thermal pool and sauna. The varied landscape of the Vulkaneifel offers you the opportunity for relaxing walks, e.g. on the 40 km long Eifelkrimi hiking trail, or beautiful bike rides, e.g.

on the Mosel-Maare cycle path. The Janshen poultry farm in Ellscheid is a great destination for a day trip. It is only 2 km from Winkel and offers a fantastic view of the surrounding area. Trier (the oldest city in Germany, birthplace of Karl Marx and location of the Porta Nigra) and Koblenz (Roman city on the Moselle and the romantic Rhine) are approx. 65 km from Winkel. De vulkaaneifel is een prachtige omgeving. De verhuurder weet niet goed wat nodig is in een keuken en hoe schoon een huis moet worden opgeleverd. In ieder geval niet met het idee wat wij hebben van schoon. Dat was voor ons een flinke teleurstelling. Alle gasten betalen schoonmaakkosten. Hij was bereid alles te doen maar we hadden geen zin alles uit te leggen wat er moest gebeuren. Jammer. Aardige man maar hij zag het gewoon niet. Een afwasbak hebben we aangeschaft en daar gelaten. We hebben er iets van gemaakt.
