A day on the North Sea dikes, where a fresh, invigorating breeze always blows, is highly recommended.

The nearby North Frisian islands of Pellworm, Föhr, and Sylt are also easily accessible. During the summer months, excursions to the Hallig islands, located in the Wadden Sea World Heritage Site, are highly recommended. The following destinations can be reached within half an hour: Husum, Niebüll, Flensburg, Nordstrand, St. Peter-Ording, and Büsum.
