Description

Lakeside Comfort Meets Forest Serenity Welcome to your serene getaway in Tolplas Recreation Park, nestled in the lush landscapes of Hoge Hexel. This modern chalet offers the perfect escape for families, couples, or groups seeking peace, comfort, and a touch of wellness. Enjoy stylish interiors, a fully equipped kitchen, and a private terrace with garden furniture. Some accommodations feature a sauna, steam cabin, and air conditioning—ideal for relaxing after a day of outdoor adventure. Pet-Friendly Fun in Nature’s Playground Bring your furry friends along—this park is perfect for pets! Explore the walking trails around De Tolplas lake or let your dog roam the nearby Wierdense Veld nature reserve, a local favorite for scenic hikes with off-leash zones. You can even rent a canoe and enjoy peaceful paddles alongside your pup. With open grassy spaces and countless pet-friendly paths, it’s a haven for humans and hounds alike. Nearby Dining & Local Flavors While the park’s restaurant is closed from January 14 to February 3, 2026, a curated list of excellent local eateries is available in your welcome folder.

Enjoy traditional Dutch dishes at cozy cafes in Wierden or sample international cuisine in Almelo—both just a short drive away. After a delicious meal, return to your quiet chalet, unwind with a movie, or simply watch the stars from your terrace as nature hums all around.
