The holiday homes in the Berner Oberland region are located around its high peaks such as the Eiger, Mönch, Jungfrau and Schilthorn. When the weather is clear, they offer a view as far as Mont Blanc and the Black Forest. On the summits, there are several panoramic restaurants, where you can enjoy all the spectacular things that pass by while enjoying a snack and a drink.
The most important excursion in Switzerland can be found in this region, the Jungfraujoch (3571m), with the highest train station in Europe, an absolute must! It is part of the beautiful Jungfrau-Aletsch-Bietschhorn region. This region has been listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, as a unique landscape of outstanding beauty. You will find unique flora and fauna and the longest glacier in the Alps, (and in the Valais region), here, the Alets glacier.
Holiday resorts in the Jungfrau region include Grindelwald, Interlaken, Wengen and Mürren. Grindelwald is a cosy touristic glacier village, where you will discover a beautiful piece of nature. A walk through the glacial gorge is not to be missed, it is spectacular and overwhelming. There is plenty to do from your holiday home in the Berner Oberland.
Berner Oberland has 500 km. of hiking and mountain trails, and 400 km. of cycling routes, a paradise for the active holidaymaker. An alternative to the bike is the Trottibike, this scooter is a new trend, and fun to try. After a sporty day, it's great to come home to one of our holiday homes in Berner Oberland!
There are also a number of beautiful mountain lakes, such as the Brienzersee and the Thunersee. These lakes are beautifully situated, and offer a beautiful view of the surroundings. Of course, they are perfectly suitable for sailors, surfers and swimmers alike. They offer a welcome cooling down, especially in the summer.
The capital Bern is also located in this region. Bern is a lively and versatile city. The city centre has a medieval character, and has beautiful squares, such as the Zytglogge, where it is always pleasantly busy.
The city of Interlaken, as its name suggests, is located between two lakes, and at the foot of the mountains. It is a modern fashionable city with a lovely centre where you can enjoy a delicious meal in one of the many authentic Swiss restaurants. Also a starting point for a hike in the mountains.
