The most spectacular sights are the four round churches. These churches are the best preserved in all of Scandinavia. The largest round church can be found in Østerlars and the smallest and youngest church in Nyker. The best preserved church can be admired in Nylars, but if you want to see the highest and possibly the most beautiful churches then you should definitely make your way to Olsker. The island is the ideal destination for beach, nature and culture lovers!

Active holiday in Bornholm

From your holiday home there is plenty to do on this island. Bornholm has various walking and cycling routes and, along the way, you will find a huge range of sights. There is so much to discover, especially in the north of the island. A few kilometres from the seaside resort of Gudhjem, you will find 22-metre high granite cliffs with deep caves, which are known as Helligdomsklipperne in Danish. Stretch your legs as you walk through these caves and discover the beautiful landscapes and views.

But it's not only the north that is suitable for an active holiday. The centre of the island is characterized by large beech forests and beautiful lakes. After a walk in the forest, you may want to take a refreshing dip in the cold water. The south is a favourite destination for beach lovers but you can also enjoy an active holiday here. How about kayaking, windsurfing or kite surfing? It could be the best way to discover the Baltic Sea!

Discover the most beautiful villages of Bornholm

Bornholm has something special to offer to everyone and, after a few days, you may never want to leave. This island is Denmark's only rocky island and its constantly changing landscapes make it the perfect destination for everyone. If you have opted for a car holiday in Denmark, then you can tour the island from your holiday home. You will find idyllic fishing villages and characteristic fish smokehouses dotted all over the landscape. A stop at a local restaurant is definitely worthwhile! The fish here is so fresh, you won't be able to get enough of it. On the island, you will find a variety of quaint, picturesque villages. The most beautiful are Gudhjem, Nexø, Svaneke and Aakirkeby. In general, they are all very beautiful port towns, but Aakikeby is located inland and is mainly known for its striking church. And if you like shopping or want to sit and relax on one of the many terraces then this is a delightful place to spend your day.
