Skiing fun Saalfelden am Steinernen Meer

Saalfelden am Steinernen Meer (748 m), located in the heart of the Salzburg mountain world near the Steinernen Meer mountain range, is no longer a small ski village, but a genuine city, with a population of around 16,000. Many international trains stop at the Saalfelden station. Our holiday homes in Saalfelden and neighbouring villages (like Almdorf and Lenzing) offer you all the comforts of home for a relaxing holiday experience. From detached ski chalets to apartments in holiday accommodations or farmhouses, you are sure to find a holiday home that is perfect for you and your family or friends. An unforgettable winter sports holiday is guaranteed!

Family-friendly Hinterreit (Maria-Alm-Saalfelden) and Biberg Saalfelden

The family-friendly ski resort of Hinterreit (900 m) is located in Maria Alm. This small but fun ski resort is perfect for families and beginners. It has two ski tows, a practice lift, snow-making machines and an FIS training track. There is also a practice lift and illuminated toboggan run in Saalfelden on the Biberg. Saalfelden is also the perfect destination for cross-country skiing, with an extensive network of tracks in Saalfelden and Maria Alm. This includes a WorldCup track around the Ritzensee in Saalfelden, where you can also go ice skating!

Fun on the slopes at the Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Ski Circus

The villages of Leogang and Saalfelden belong to the Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Ski Circus ski area, one of the largest and most diverse skiing areas in Austria, with more than 200 km of slopes and 55 ultramodern gondolas and lifts! To reach it, you take the modern Asitz gondola in Leogang. Leogang itself has three bunny slopes, two red and one black-category slopes, a ski route, mogul slope, Rennstrecke Asitz (racetrack), SkiMovie track and cross-country skiing tracks. There is also a NITRO snow park, with rails, kickers, jumpers, bumbs, corners and boxes for various levels. Thanks to its central location, Saalfelden is a great base for exploring other skiing areas. You can access the Hochkönig via Maria Alm and the Schmittenhöhe via Zell am See. Perfect for ski resort hoppers! In a nutshell, you are guaranteed lots of fun in the snow while staying at a holiday home or ski chalet in Saalfelden am Steinernen Meer.
